The copper bath dates back to the 19th century, reaching its height during the French Empire style period (c. 1800–1830). Although copper had been used for heat conduction for millennia, the freestanding copper bathtub became a status symbol in Europe during this period, particularly in France and England.

At the time, this luxury item was reserved exclusively for the wealthiest members of society, such as the aristocracy and affluent middle class. While ordinary people still washed in a simple wooden tub, the well-to-do had hand-hammered copper baths installed in their grand townhouses to show off their wealth and comfort.

Scale: 1:12

Materials: The bath is 3D-printed, and the stand is made of MDF. The cloth (to protect against the hot metal) is made of very fine cotton, as is the cloth in the bucket. The bucket is 3D-printed, as is the wooden spoon. The piece of soap is made of Fimo. All parts are hand-painted and finished for an authentic look.
